Welcome to Driving with Josh! I wanted to create this blog space so that I could partake in my hobby of enjoying cars and share it with other people. This blog will have many opinions, some of which you may not agree with, and that is okay. There will also be car reviews of vehicles I own or vehicles I see around. I will also share ideas I have about car projects, especially my dream project of building a Saab 96 Monte Carlo rally car replica, and there will be plenty of car show coverage from where I live.
So ride along on this journey with me!
I was introduced to cars at a young age by going to car shows with my
dad and grandfather. From that, I started working at a private garage and attended a vocational high school. During my time in high school, I wanted to become a Porsche-certied mechanic, but instead, I joined the U.S. Air Force and worked on airplanes. After serving in the military, I could no longer work as a full-time auto mechanic because of injuries. Instead, I wanted to start a blog where I could talk about cars and enjoy my hobby.
My wife says I am full of ideas when it comes to cars, but don't have enough tools. So instead, I write about them!
We all have them. Some stink. Some are valid. I would like to think mine come with some validation and honesty that makes them more receivable.
The one activity I never get sick of is a car show. I attend as many as I can and spend way too long looking into each car I see.
For my short life on earth, I have driven and owned quite a few cars. I also like to review ones I rent, test drive, and own.
